Details announced for the 10th annual Mayor’s Masked Ball fundraiser
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks forward Marjon Beauchamp is doing some good off the court.
On Monday, April 15, Beauchamp visited Grantosa Drive Elementary School and gave out school supplies for the students there.
Beauchamp spoke to the kids and talked to them about pursuing their dreams. He also spent some time with the school's basketball players and told them about all the hard work that's needed to succeed.
"It was real cool to just see like somebody that the kids can look up to. Like a lot of my players were starstruck when they saw him. They were like 'my heart's beating fast.' But I tell them, this is where y'all want to be at, so one day someone's going to be looking at y'all the way you're looking at him," said Keandre Carter, Grantosa Elementary coach.
Monday's visit comes as the Bucks are hoping to regain some momentum heading into the playoffs. They face off against the Pacers on Sunday at Fiserv Forum.
