Marquette to finish regular season without Tyler Kolek, team to reevaluate injury prior to Big East tournament

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Marquette Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team will be forced to end their regular season with a star on the bench.

Guard Tyler Kolek will miss the final two games of the season with an oblique injury, according to a press release issued by Scott Kuykendall, Senior Associate Athletic Director at Marquette.

The injury, suffered during the team's Feb. 28 game against Providence, comes on the heels of Kolek leading the nation in assists with 7.6 per game, along with 15 points and 4.7 rebounds a night.

Kolek will be re-evaluated prior to the team's Big East Conference Tournament, which is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 - Saturday, March 16.
