MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Maxwell Anderson, the man who was convicted of killing and dismembering the body of Sade Robinson, appeared before a judge again Thursday, June 11.
Anderson was convicted in a criminal trial last year, but the family of the 19-year-old woman has filed a wrongful death civil lawsuit against him. He appeared by zoom at a status conference.
This was mostly a procedural hearing but Sheena Scarborough, the mother of Sade Robinson, who was also not in the courtroom, expressed frustration about the scheduling process.
"I'm not attacking you judge, but you know crime, you know, this is what crime victims have to go through. This ongoing, petty, tedious stuff, with this demonic dragon," said Scarborough. "I ain't got time to look at this demon ongoing, I got a daughter..."
Maxwell Anderson is serving a life in prison term for the murder of Sade Robinson. The next hearing for his civil case is scheduled for September 9th.
