WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Mayfair Mall and Southridge Mall reopened on Wednesday, May 20.
Mayfair Mall opened at 11 a.m. Several people were lined up at stores ready to shop, many wearing masks, but not all.
More than 30 stores are now open. The mall has hand-sanitizing stations and will be handing out masks, but people aren't required to wear them.
"I feel like everybody should get in and get out," Shopper June Harris said. "Get what you got to get."
Mall leaders say it will also undergo frequent and intense cleanings.
Two local malls are reopening in our area today. @ShopMayfairMall and @ShopSouthridge are taking extra precautions. Both malls will be handing out masks to those that want them. A preview of what shoppers can expect at noon on @CBS58pic.twitter.com/e1b6613YWQ

Southridge Mall in Greendale also opened on Wednesday. Southridge says it will also be taking safety and cleaning precautions along with temperature testing at the entrances.
"It feels good, I know everybody's been struggling a little bit, stuck in the house," Ronald Kirk said. "It's always nice to go out and every once in awhile, just be safe when you do it."
For people that that don't want to go inside at Mayfair Mall, curbside pick-up is still being offered.
