MPD investigating infant death near 11th and Atkinson

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the death of a 10-month-old girl Monday evening.

Authorities say they were called to the area near 11th and Atkinson around 10:30 p.m. on Monday evening.

The child was found unresponsive and life-saving measures were unsuccessful. The child died on the scene.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says an autopsy will be scheduled for the morning.
