MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Dept. arrested four people who reportedly fled police in a vehicle stolen out of Illinois, which was the same vehicle that was being sought for a pursuit that left an MPD officer injured on Saturday, March 30.

MPD says that they attempted a traffic stop on Monay, April 1 at around 2:05 p.m. near 27th and Clybourn when noticing that the vehicle was wanted for possible connection to a March 30 chase. The driver reportedly refused to stop, leading officers on a brief chase that ended due to a flat tire near Hampton and Teutonia.

An 18-year-old woman, 16-year-old boy and two 20-year-old men were taken into custody following a short foot pursuit, with two firearms and narcotics reportedly being located.

Police say the vehicle was reported stolen out of Illinois on Saturday, March 23.

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
