MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal stabbing on Sunday, Feb. 2. 

According to MPD, West Allis police had a person of interest in custody near 61st and Lincoln. The person of interest indicated that the victim would be at an address near 31st and State. 

West Allis police asked MPD to do a welfare check at that location. MPD found a 74-year-old man at the scene, and he was pronounced deceased.

Police have the 37-year-old in custody and charges are pending a review by the Milwaukee District Attorney's Office.
