Deadly triple shooting at gentleman's club near Hopkins and Hampton

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two men are dead after a triple shooting outside a Milwaukee strip club Thursday night near North Hopkins Street and West Hampton Avenue.

Witnesses told CBS 58 it happened at Gold Diggers Gentleman's Club around 11:15 p.m.

The owner of that club told CBS 58 one of the victims was a longtime employee.

Milwaukee police confirmed a 37-year-old died at the scene, and another 37-year-old died from injuries at the hospital. A 34-year-old man was also hurt.

Loved ones have identified one of the victims as Maurice Williams, a father of seven from Milwaukee.

According to his family, Williams worked as a security guard at Gold Diggers for nearly a decade and was working Thursday night when he was shot by a friend.

The owner said the man who shot Williams wasn't a customer and showed up to confront Williams at work.

Police have not verified what led up to the shooting.

The bar's owner said the man who shot Williams was also killed by a third person, after killing Williams.

A neighbor told CBS 58 this isn't the first incident at this bar, saying she has seen several shootings and other problems there over the years.

Williams family is planning a vigil for him on Saturday.

CBS 58 is working to learn more about the other men involved in the shooting.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Two people are dead and a third person is recovering in the hospital after a triple shooting in Milwaukee that happened overnight near Gold Digger's Gentlemans Club near North Hopkins Street and West Hampton Avenue around 11:15PM last night.

Milwaukee Police said it happened late Thursday evening in the city's Old North Milwaukee neighborhood. A 37-year-old died at the scene, and another 37-year old succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. A 34--year-old was rushed to the hospital with nonfatal injuries.

Police have not released any information related to suspects in this investigation or any subsequent arrests at this time.
