MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County medical examiner has confirmed that an inmate in the county jail choked to death, and the final manner of death was suicide.
They determined that last December, 20-year-old Cilvea Thyrion swallowed an adult diaper when she stopped breathing.
The ME's report states she attempted multiple times to swallow things and suffered from mental health issues.
No charges were filed against the correctional officers.
In response, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office sent out a statement saying, 'We empathize with Ms. Thyrion's family as they continue to work through this tragedy."
