Mequon Marshall’s employees cited in theft ring, stealing $6,200 in purchases

MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around 10 employees at Marshall’s in Mequon are being ordered to pay restitution and cited for participating in a theft ring.

According to police, the employees would ring up each other’s purchases while only paying for one item and bagging the rest.

Authorities say the theft ring went on for several months with the total loss of merchandise costing $6,200.

Police say the involved employees admitted to participating and were fired. They were ordered to pay restitution and were issued city citations for retail theft.
