Mequon-Thiensville School Board member's vote fraud charge dismissed

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Ozaukee County Monday, a vote fraud charge against Mequon-Thiensville School Board member Paul Buzzell was dismissed by a judge.

Paul Buzzell had been charged for posting a picture of his completed election ballot on Facebook last year.

His attorneys argued that the charge was a violation of Buzzell's first amendment rights and the judge threw out the charge.

Had the case gone to court and had Buzzell been convicted, he could have faced up to three-and-a-half years in prison.
