MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 50th Mexican Fiesta is bringing a big concert to Milwaukee this summer. The legendary Mexican band, "Los Bukis" will be playing ahead of the annual festival that celebrates Hispanic culture.
Officials with FPC Live say Los Bukis is one of the most popular brands in Mexican history that reunited for the first time in 25 years in 2021. Mexican Fiesta officials say this is a huge moment for the festival that began as a small street festival over 50 years ago, but has now grown into one of the most well-known celebrations of Hispanic culture in the U.S.
FPC Live officials say it's thanks to that reputation that Los Bukis will be coming to Milwaukee.
"It is a huge festival it's a major festival and I think this event is going to open up doors for more major artists to come play the festival in the future, the opportunities are endless, we're incredibly excited about it," said Charlie Goldstone, FPC Live president.
Los Bukis will be at American Family Insurance Amphitheater Thursday, Aug. 24 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. HERE.
Mexican Fiesta will be Aug. 25-27 at Henry Maier Festival Park.
