Million Dollar Bond Set for Woman Accused of Killing Man in Kenosha

Donna Matthews' cash bond was set at $1,000,000 in an intake court appearance in Kenosha on Monday, August 22. The bond comes the stipulation that if bond is posted Matthews must also surrender her passport.

Matthews, who is originally from Maui, Hawaii, was taken into custody in Seattle for a party to a crime of first degree intentional homicide in Kenosha.

According to Kenosha Police Department, Donna Matthews was connected to the homicide of Michael Gayan. 

Derrick Matthews of Kenosha was arrested on Monday as party to a crime of first degree intentional homicide of Michael Gayan. 

Gayan's body was found inside a residence on July 8. The body was in advanced decomposition making it difficult to identify. 

On July 29, the body was identified as Michael Gayan.

A preliminary hearing for Donna Matthews is set for 9:30 AM on August 30.
