MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Admirals have chosen a new four-legged teammate. Now, they need your help picking out the perfect name for their new addition.
The Admirals announced their plans to adopt a puppy from the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha (HAWS) last week. On Monday, the team shared a Facebook video featuring their newest member and asking for name ideas.
"We have a great relationship with HAWS, we have for many, many years. We've had quite a few players with dogs, and around the hockey world there have been a few teams at the NHL level who have had a hockey dog... and so we wanted to be able to develop that relationship," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg.
The new pup is already sharing an important message.
"The more people we can reach, the more things we can share, the greater our reach is to help further the cause of no more homeless pets and awareness for animal welfare issues," said Jannifer Smieja, communications and marketing coordinator at HAWS.
