MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Bars across the Milwaukee area are getting ready for March Madness! Milwaukee bars will be full of blue and gold fans cheering on Marquette in the big dance Thursday.

Steny’s said March Madness is one of the busiest time of the year for their bar. Steny’s is opening early at 10:30 a.m. with drink specials and food.

“Utter chaos, it's going to be awesome though,” Steny's Bar Manager Natalie Duvall said.

They’ll also have extra outdoor seating in their heated patio. They’ve ordered extra food and drinks and also doubled their staff, as they expect a huge crowd.

"You want to be ready for something like this,” Duvall said. “You want to be ready to accommodate for every person coming in.”

Over at Sport Club, they’re also getting ready for big crowds. They are opening at 10:30 a.m. and will have all-day drink specials, a DJ, and they'll be playing the game on their many TV’s. You can also shoot some hoops as they'll have Pop Shot.

“We definitely planned ahead, this has been a huge process we've been getting calls on March Madness for months now,” Sport Club Bartender Dominique Petty said. “We know it's going to be busy.”

For Marquette students only, they can watch the game, enjoy food and non-alcoholic drinks inside their Student Union. That starts at 3:15 p.m.

“It's really about us being together and celebrating the success, whether win or lose, we're very, very proud of our teams,” VP of Student Affairs Dr. Xavier Cole said.

No matter where you go to watch the Golden Eagles, you’ll find the Marquette spirit high.

“Just seeing how excited they are, to come in and support their team it's togetherness, the community, it's something good to celebrate,” Duvall said.
