MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Connie Attanasio, a longtime Milwaukee Brewers supporter and mother of Brewers owner Attanasio family, has died at 96. The Brewers announced her passing Wednesday, Jan. 29.

"Connie was the backbone of the Attanasio family, and there was no greater fan of the Milwaukee Brewers," the team said. "She attended almost every Brewers home opener in person."

Attanasio frequently joined her family at games and watched from home when she could not attend. "She brought light, enthusiasm and humor to all who knew her, and she was loved by so many in our organization," the team said.

Donations in her memory can be made to UCLA Health’s Innovation in Geriatric Medicine program.
