Milwaukee Brewers move NLDS watch parties to UW Credit Union Plaza due to fan response

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are gearing up for the start of the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres, and the team has announced new watch party details for fans wanting to come cheer on the crew while they're on the road.

The Game 3 and 4 watch parties will now be held at the UW Credit Union Plaza at American Family Field.

The watch parties were initially set to be held at Davidson Park on the Harley-Davidson campus for Game 3, and at DIA .

But due to popular demand, the decision was made to move them to American Family Field:

“We are moving the watch parties to American Family Field largely in response to the positive fan feedback after the recent Rally for October event we hosted at the UW Credit Union Plaza. The Plaza is an ideal spot to gather with friends and other Brewers fans for the best postseason atmosphere,” said President – Business Operations Rick Schlesinger.

Schlesinger also cites the later start times on the west coast creating challenges with local noise ordinances at Davidson Park and at DIA Café.

Fans can catch Game 3 of the NLDS on Tuesday, October 6 at 8:30 p.m. at the UW Credit Union Plaza at American Family Field.

The watch party will feature live game viewing, food and beverage offerings available for purchase, interactive fan activities and Brewer's entertainment.

If Game 4 is necessary, the postseason party continues on Wednesday, October 7 at 9:00pm.

Admission to both watch parties is free, but tickets are required. Fans may claim up to five tickets per person beginning at Noon on Monday October 5. You can claim those tickets here.

Gates will open one hour prior to first pitch with a capacity of 3,000 ticketed fans. Fans are encouraged to wear their best Brewers blue and yellow, arrive early, and bring lawn chairs and blankets.
