MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Sad news from the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night -- the team announced that team executive vice president of community affairs John Steinmiller has passed away.
He spent 52 years with the Bucks, meaning he saw both championships.
He was 73 years old.
A statement from the Milwaukee Bucks organization says in part:
"During his 52 seasons with the team, John worked with every Bucks head coach and during all four eras of team ownership. He worked at more than 2,000 home games and hundreds on the road and was part of the Bucks' championships in 1971 and 2021. More than his impressive resume, John was one of the most kind, humble and loyal people that you could be lucky enough to know. He was adored, appreciated and respected by his colleagues and Bucks fans alike."
The Milwaukee Bucks organization is heartbroken by the passing John Steinmiller.
