Milwaukee Common Council approves new early voting site at 60th and Capitol

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Common Council unanimously approved a new early voting site on 60th and Capitol Tuesday morning.

It will likely be the largest early voting site in Milwaukee, a move from the previous space just down the street at Midtown Center.

Alderman Mark Chambers called the Midtown polling place the most used early voting site in the entire Midwest.

The new location's allure is its accessibility, with 95 parking spots, and located directly on a bus route in a diverse neighborhood.

The ACLU of Wisconsin is calling it a huge win for Black and brown voters, as well as the community at large.
