Milwaukee County Parks hosting hiring events to fill jobs for the summer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As we push into the warmer months, Milwaukee County Parks is ramping up their hiring efforts. 

On Wednesday, April 2, they held a hiring event at the Brown Deer Clubhouse in Milwaukee. 

Employers from all across the area were present, looking for workers in positions ranging from golf pro shop staff, park rangers, and lifeguards. 

New this year, Milwaukee County Parks is offering comprehensive healthcare services to their employees. 

"We need people in our community to come out and want to be a part of the services that we offer to each other," said Jim Tarantino, director of Milwaukee County Parks. "So if you're a park user, if you're a golfer, if you've enjoyed time at a beer garden or swam in Lake Michigan and you want to be a part of the Milwaukee County community, you can come join Milwaukee County Parks workforce."

An additional hiring event will take place next Wednesday, April 9, from 2-6 p.m. at the King Community Center located at 1531 W. Vliet Street.
