Farmers fight dry, warm weather as harvest season begins
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office held its second annual 414 Trust Kickball Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The event was scheduled to run from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Baran Park and featured teams composed of children from across Milwaukee County, coached by deputy sheriffs, police officers, firefighters and other first responders.
MCSO says the goal of the tournament is to offer communities and first responders an opportunity to bond and build trust.
"We're just trying to make it a great day for them - a memorable day for them - so they can remember that time they played kickball with law enforcement," said Deputy Kristine Rodriguez, MCSO.
Trophies and other prizes were awarded.
