Milwaukee declares Thursday snow emergency requiring alternate side parking
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Department of Public Works has declared a snow emergency for Thursday, Feb. 13, requiring overnight parking restrictions on city streets.
No parking will be allowed on arterial streets from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and alternate side parking will be enforced on residential side streets during the same hours. Vehicles parked on side streets must be moved to the odd-numbered side by 10 p.m. to allow for snow and ice removal.
Posted street signs take precedence, according to DPW.
Milwaukee Public Schools parking lots will be available for overnight parking beginning at 7 p.m., but all vehicles must be removed by 7 a.m. the following day.
