MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins Sunday, Sept. 15, but Milwaukee is starting the festivities early with a city-wide celebration Friday, Sept. 13 at Deer District Plaza.
The event, scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m., will feature dueling mariachi groups, authentic food and drinks and Latino artisanal vendors.
Youth performances will also be featured, highlighting the cultural contributions of the Hispanic community, in the event scheduled to be held outside Fiserv Forum.
