MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Members of Milwaukee's LGBTQ community have a new tool to learn about their history in the city.
Zao MKE Church hosted and live streamed an event to celebrate the launch of a new app called "LGBT Milwaukee".
The Milwaukee app reveals the spaces, people and events of local LGBTQ history -- complete with maps and video clips describing the significance of each location.
"There's gotta be some way that we could that we've left our mark, and that everyone could have history with them wherever they go, they could have our history in the palm of their hands, there had to be a way in which we could make our history within our community a lot more personal."
Besides the app's founders, a handful of businesses and foundations also helped make the app a reality.
