FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) — A 46-year-old Milwaukee man has been federally indicted after authorities say a traffic stop in Fond du Lac County uncovered cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, a deputy and K-9 stopped the man's vehicle shortly before 11:45 p.m. May 29 on Interstate 41 near Lost Arrow Road. The vehicle was reportedly speeding and deviating from its lane.

The man was the vehicle's only occupant.

Authorities conducted a probable cause search and reported finding 7.2 grams of cocaine, 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine, an additional 19.06 grams of methamphetamine, 53 grams of MDMA and $940 in cash.

The sheriff's office said the man was on active parole following a 2016 Milwaukee County conviction for manufacturing or delivering less than 3 grams of heroin.

Authorities said the man has a criminal history dating to 1993 that includes convictions involving sexual assault, burglary, drug offenses, bail jumping, forgery, resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A federal case was opened following the traffic stop. On July 21, the deputy testified during federal grand jury proceedings, and the man was indicted.

According to the sheriff's office, the alleged offense carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a potential maximum sentence of 15 years.

The sheriff's office did not identify the man in its release.
