Mother of 8 shot and killed on Milwaukee's north side

The Milwaukee Police Department confirms a 52-year-old man was arrested on April 1 in this case.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A family is now grieving after a mother of eight was shot and killed Monday morning, April 1.
The shooting happened on Milwaukee's north side near 18th and Hadley Streets.
The victim's family told CBS 58 42-year-old Lakeyshia Timmons was found shot to death steps away from her northside home.
They said Timmons' pride and joy was being a mom.
"That’s what she knew how to do, be a mom, and she was just that," said 24-year-old Latanilia Timmons, Lakeyshia Timmons' daughter.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the shooting happened around 7:30 a.m.
"My little sister called me crying and said my mama was shot laying on the ground," said Timmons.
MPD said an argument led to the shooting.
Those close to the woman said she was loving and non-confrontational.
"Mama ain't do nothing, just was a mama, she was just there for her babies, that’s it. She ain't get into it with nobody, she ain't bother nobody," said Timmons.
MPD said they are still looking for an unknown suspect at this time.
While family has confirmed the victim's identity with CBS 58 -- police have yet to do so.
