MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police were in a pursuit on Thursday, Jan. 30 after locating a car reportedly linked to a possible hostage investigation near 23rd and Auer. Officers reported the driver fled recklessly as they approached.

The pursuit ended when the suspect’s car ran a red light and collided with another car at 20th and Center, according to MPD.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was arrested and taken to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. A passenger in a second vehicle, a 35-year-old, and an 18-year-old victim were also treated at a hospital.

Authorities determined the incident was related to domestic violence.

Charges are being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
