Milwaukee police investigate a shooting involving a 13-year-old

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting that took place around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

The shooting took place near 26th and Chambers.  The 13-year-old victim was conveyed to a local hospital and is expected to survive. A 30-year-old individual was taken into custody in regard to the shooting. The 13-year-old, along with a 17-year-old were taken into custody regarding an attempt robbery.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the robbery and shooting are related incidents. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
