Milwaukee police: Pedestrian struck near 76th and Thurston, driver remained on scene

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 47-year-old man has life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday near 76th and Thurston.

According to Milwaukee police, the man was struck when he attempted to cross in the middle of the street.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and provided aid to the victim until rescue crews arrived.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
