Milwaukee police searched for armed robbery suspect, taken into custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The suspect was taken into custody, according to police.

The Milwaukee police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in an armed robbery, which occurred on Saturday, Nov. 25. 

The robbery took place around 11:22 a.m., near 27th and Ohio. Police say the suspect implied he had a weapon, demanded, and obtained money from a business. He fled on foot, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. 

The suspect is described as a White male, 55-60 years of age, around 5'3-5'5. He was last seen wearing a Brewers baseball hat, glasses, a blue jacket, light blue shirt, blue jeans, and grey shoes. 

"The safety and security of our customers and associates is a priority at all times. We are grateful all are safe and unharmed and will refer any additional questions to local law enforcement," said Walmart in a statement regarding the incident.
