MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after a victim was robbed and stabbed Monday night, Aug. 12.

According to MPD, the suspect approached the victim near 19th and Wisconsin Avenue around 11:10 p.m. and asked for a ride. 

The victim agreed, and when they reached the destination, police say the suspect stabbed and battered the victim before demanding the victim's vehicle. 

The 26-year-old victim was taken an area hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. 

Milwaukee police are seeking a known suspect.
