MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools announced schools will be closed again on Thursday, Aug. 24, due to an excessive heat warning that is in effect.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools have announced that schools will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 23 due to an excessive heat warning that has been issued for Milwaukee County.

According to the school system: "All after-school, recreation and athletic programs are cancelled. Central Services and all administrative buildings will be open and staff at those sites should report to work."
