Milwaukee Public Schools committee votes to move all schools to 1 calendar for 2024-25

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Public Schools committee voted Tuesday to have all schools move to one calendar for the 2024-2025 year. 

A committee voted 3-1 in favor of moving students to one calendar start date, which would begin on Sept. 3. 

Officials say this decision will save the district $2 million. 

The full board will vote for approval on Thursday, Dec. 21.
