Milwaukee Rep secures funding for Associated Bank Theater Center
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Repertory Theater has reached its $78 million fundraising goal for the Powering Milwaukee Campaign, ensuring the completion of the Associated Bank Theater Center.
The campaign, supported by nearly 600 individual donors, will allow the new state-of-the-art facility to open on schedule in fall 2025, according to a Tuesday, Sept. 10 press release.
Milwaukee Rep’s Executive Director Chad Bauman expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, "With this extraordinary campaign, nearly 600 donors have given an incredible gift to future generations."
He added, "When opened next year, the Associated Bank Theater Center will be one of the leading theater centers in the world with an innovative, downtown arts education center, three flagship theaters, welcoming and inspirational public spaces, and beautiful artist shops and rehearsal halls."
Construction began in May with officials saying that the timeline is on track and within budget.
Milwaukee Rep plans to keep the campaign open for additional contributions to fund further enhancements. Additional information can be found by visiting the Rep online.
