MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The James Beard Foundation announced its 2024 Restaurant and Chef Awards semifinalists in advance of the James Beard Awards, and a Milwaukee-area restaurant and three chefs are on the list. 

Outstanding Chef

A chef who sets high culinary standards and has served as a positive example for other food professionals while contributing positively to their broader community.

The Restaurant and Chef Awards were established in 1991 -- one of five separate recognition programs of the awards.

The 2024 James Beard Awards ceremony presenting the Restaurant and Chef Awards will be held at The Lyric Opera in Chicago on Monday, June 10.
