Milwaukee's Flannel Fest 2023 returns to celebrate the fall season
MILWAUKEE (CBS 580 -- Boone & Crockett, in collaboration with The Cooperage, will host Flannel Fest 2023 in Milwaukee, aiming to bring music, food and seasonal fun to the city.
The Harbor District bar event, which started in 2019, attracted hundreds with its blend of music and flannel attire during its first run. After a livestream edition in 2020 and a hiatus in 2021, the fest returned in 2022 and continues in 2023.
Flannel Fest will take place Saturday, Oct. 21 from noon until 10 p.m. in the parking lot outside Boone & Crockett and The Cooperage.
Food offerings will feature local favorites such as Taco Moto, Dooby Dogs and Lumpia City, among others. Local vendors, including Cival Collective and Clover MKE, will also showcase their goods.
Inside Boone & Crockett, visitors can enjoy a range of beverages, with beer offerings from New Glarus and Hinterland. An added highlight: White Claw, the main sponsor, will present new products for sampling. A portion of sales from the beer tent will support Courage MKE.
Music remains a core element, with two stages hosting an array of artists. WMSE's Boogie Bang Gang starts the show, followed by acts like Sunflower Bean, REYNA, NilexNile, Shoobie, Twan Mack and Swadetracks, Ben Mulwana, Arum Rae, Next Paperback Hero and The Hallelujah Ward.
The Cooperage will hold a Flannel Fest Pre-Party on Friday, featuring The Keystones, Alley Eyes, Social Cig and Tigera.
