MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Expect to pay a lot more if you don't follow Milwaukee's winter parking rules this year. The Department of Public Works announced Tuesday, Nov. 26 new fines along with some new rules.
This winter, your first violation will be $50, your second will be $100, and your third violation will be $150 and make you eligible for a tow. That's up $40 from last year, for every violation.
Officials will also be using the term "snow emergency" more, and when that is activated, alternate side street parking will apply to every single street in the city. That's a change from the past year, where some streets -- especially on the east side -- don't allow any parking.
