Mitchell International receives $600K for runway maintenance

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's airport is getting major federal funding for runway maintenance.
"It allows us to maintain our airfield in great condition and this grant goes a long way in doing that," said Airport Director Brian Dranzik.
Officials say $600,000 in grant money is coming to Mitchell International Airport .
They say the work should not affect travelers during the year ahead.
The money Milwaukee is getting is part of a $520 million grant that's being divided between 287 airports in 41 states.
