More peregrine falcons hatch at We Energies nesting sites

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After welcoming the first peregrine falcon chick of the 2024 nesting season on Thursday, May 2, We Energies is celebrating Mother's Day a bit early with the announcement of four chicks hatching on Sunday, May 5 and a fifth hatching early Monday, May 6 in Port Washington.

There are currently two hatched chicks at the Oak Creek Power Plant, two at Valley Power Plant in Milwaukee and two at the Port Washington Generating Station.

That leaves five remaining eggs that are expected to hatch soon, as of Monday morning.

We Energies is asking the public to vote on the name of the chicks, with the theme being Wisconsin Olympic medalists. Votes can be cast by clicking here.

Webcams showing each of the nesting locations are being streamed online by We Energies and can be found by clicking here.
