More than 400 Christmas trees went up in smoke in Antigo, Wisconsin on Monday night.
It's a tradition, hosted by the optimist club.
City workers collected up the dried out trees last week and brought them to the high school. Organizers doused the pile and they burned for more than an hour.
The optimist club which supports programs for kids has been hosting the Christmas tree burning event for more than 30 years.
