MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A man convicted of murder escaped from his trial and now his mother and girlfriend are facing charges for helping him get away. Both of those women appeared in court on Friday.
One of the detectives investigating Dwayne Chaney's case spoke in court after Chaney was convicted of killing Michael Prescott.
During the trial Chaney got away with the help of his girlfriend Zuri London and his mom Floragenia Chaney.
London is facing charges of obstructing an officer. Her next court appearance is set for November 20. Chaney's mother is accused of being the get away driver and is facing charges of bail jumping as a party to a crime. Her next bail hearing is scheduled for November 10 at 8:30 a.m.
