MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) paraprofessional is charged with felony child abuse. 

A criminal complaint shows Margaret Galligan-Nordquist is charged with physical abuse of a child. 

A Milwaukee police officer spoke with the child involved. 

The 12-year-old says she was at Trowbridge Elementary School at an after-school program. 

According to court records the student admitted to calling the teacher an expletive. The student said Galligan-Nordquist then grabbed him by both the arm and neck.

The child was left with a scratch on his neck that broke his skin. 

Galligan-Nordquist admitted to grabbing him by the arm. 

She's out of custody right now and is set to be back in court Friday for a preliminary hearing.
