MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In celebration of National Wildlife Week, which takes place from April 3 - 9, wildlife experts David Mizejewski and Peter Gros joined us on Thursday, March 30 to discuss the importance of conserving North America's most at-risk wildlife and habitats.
The National Wildlife Federation and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom have teamed up to launch the Explore Nature's Playground campaign, encouraging people to take action and pledge support for wildlife conservation.
Mizejewski, a naturalist with the National Wildlife Federation, is a television host, author and wildlife expert. He holds a degree in Human and Natural Ecology from Emory University and has co-hosted several episodes of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom."
Gros has nearly 30 years of field experience with captive wildlife. He has helped establish breeding programs for endangered animals and rehabilitation programs for birds of prey.
