Neighbors reminded to lock cars and garages after rash of break-ins

Police are investigating after more than a dozen garages and cars are broken into on Milwaukee's southwest side.

At least 13 break-ins happened between midnight and 3:00 a.m. Wednesday between the 2700 and 3000 blocks of 38th Street and S. 50th Street.

City officials are now reminding residents to lock their garages and car doors as many of the victims were targeted after leaving their cars and garages unlocked.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call police.
