WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Saturday night, hundreds in Waukesha braved the wintry temperatures to attend the second night of festivities for the 38th annual JanBoree.

One of the main spectacles this year is the new laser light show that event organizers said hope to "mimic the Aurora Borealis in the sky."

“Over the park we get to see the Northern Lights in Lowell Park in Waukesha," said Joanna Adamicki, the special events coordinator for the city of Waukesha. “It’s just amazing to see all of the families out and enjoying, and the kids are smiling and happy, and the parents seem to enjoy it too, so that’s really rewarding to see everyone come out and enjoy.”

More events that attendees can expect include a scavenger hunt, ice sculptures, and s'mores at a bonfire.

For volunteers like 13-year-old Emma Feierday, attending the JanBoree is "really fun."

“I think it’s really pretty with all the lights and I love the lightshow over there," Feierday said. "I wish the park could look like this all year."

If you haven't been able to attend, the festival runs until Jan. 22.
