New playground, beer garden and putt putt opening at AmFam Field Friday
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- American Family Field is giving fans a reason to elevate their tailgating. Here in Milwaukee, the game starts before the first pitch with grills, games and... mini golf? That's thanks to a new six-hole course right on the plaza. It was part of the Brewers' goal to offer something for all ages.
On the upgraded and new UW Credit Union Plaza, they now offer free mini golf on game days, an authentic Wisconsin beer garden with a large LED screen, a stage for live music, and a kids' playground with a 17-foot cow and slides.
If you look closely, you'll find a lot of homages to Wisconsin landmarks and places as well as Brewers history.
They will activate the spaces with theme nights, food trucks, live music and more all season long.
The space will officially open this Friday, June 26, as the Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs at home. There will be a ribbon cutting at 4:30, but the space will open at 3:45 p.m.
