Former Marquette track and field athlete charged with 12 felonies involving child crimes

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Former Marquette University track and field athlete, 21-year-old William Waterstradt, has been charged with 12 felonies involving child sex crimes, as stated in public records. 

Some of the felonies Waterstradt has been charge with include second degree sexual assault on a child, child sexual enticement and use of computer to facilitate child sex crime. 

CBS 58 reached out to Marquette University and we were provided this statement:

"We do not comment on ongoing legal matters. William Waterstradt is not currently enrolled at Marquette University." 

According to Marquette Universities track and field page, Waterstradt was a junior at Marquette University back in the 2024-25 track and field season. 

CBS 58 reached out to the Langlade County District Attorney's Office for more information and the criminal complaint in this case.
