Report: NFL fines Packers, Rodgers, Lazard over COVID-19 protocols

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, the NFL's review into the Green Bay Packers' COVID-19 protocols has been completed.

Demovsky states that the Packers have been fined $300,000 for violations, while Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard are each fined $14,650.

According to ESPN, the investigation says the violation included the unvaccinated Rodgers not wearing a mask at his news conferences.

It also says the team did not report Rodgers and Lazard attended a Halloween party that was away from the team's facility.

Packers President Mark Murphy released a statement. He told ESPN that he respects the league's findings and recognizes the importance of following COVID protocols.

Murphy adds the organization will continue educating the team about the importance of these protocols and remain committed to following COVID guidelines.
