MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- North Division High School went under lockdown Monday afternoon, Sept. 20, after Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) says an individual with a gun flashed a weapon outside the building.
MPS said a "Code Red" alert was issued at the school, located at 1011 West Center Street in Milwaukee, and students in the building were kept in a place in an abundance of caution.
CBS 58 spoke with parents, who said they were frustrated with the lack of communication about the situation.
MPS said school leaders contacted Milwaukee police to investigate.
After the scene was cleared, the alert was lifted and the school day continued without further incident.
According to MPS, no students were physically harmed in this situation.
