UPDATE: Missing 4-year-old found safe, charges expected to be filed against grandmother

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) – Oak Creek Police say a missing 4-year-old girl and her grandmother were located by authorities around 1:00 Saturday afternoon.

It’s still unclear where the two were found.  

Police say 4-year-old Kirsten Smith is in good condition and Kelly Smith has been taken into custody. Charges of interfering with child custody are expected to be filed on Monday.

The Oak Creek Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 43-year-old woman and her 4-year-old granddaughter.   Oak Creek Police are looking for Kelly Smith and Kirsten Smith.  

Kirsten was last seen in the company of her grandmother Kelly on November 22 in the City of West Allis.  Kelly being sought by the Oak Creek Police for questioning in connection with the interference of legal custody.

According to the Police news release, Kelly Smith drives a maroon 1991 Ford Ranger with Wisconsin license plate NM6212.   The Ford Ranger has a matching maroon rear cap.

Anyone with information about the location of Kelly Smith and Kirsten Smith is asked to call the Oak Creek Police at 414-762-6200.
